Ensemble Profile:

The Capriccio Ensemble provides elegant and distinctive music for all occasions. Our duos, trios, quartets, quintets, and small string chamber orchestras have performed at concerts, weddings, corporate events, private parties, and at fine antique and art exhibit openings.

We began as a string quartet and flute trio (flute, violin & cello). Over the years we received requests for performances which would include instruments such as the oboe, harp, piano and classical guitar. These wonderful instruments were a compliment to our string duos, trios and quartets. On several occasions our quartet was doubled and tripled to become a string chamber orchestra. At our debut concert, held in upstate NY we performed the Vivaldi Concerto in A Minor Opus #3 for Two Violins and the JS Bach Concerto in C Minor for Oboe, Violin, Continuo and Strings. Our mini orchestra at the concert consisted of three violins, 1viola, 1 cello, 1 double bass and harpsichord. We have performed at events held at The NY Botanical Gardens, The Plaza Hotel, the St. Regis Hotel, on Ellis Island, at the Lighthouse of Chelsea Piers and at many private events/weddings as well as at private and public concerts.

* Fun Fact: Our String Trio performed at the Wedding Ceremony of Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Sklar (Mrs. Jerry Seinfeld)!
