Ms. Kriegler received her certification in The Suzuki Violin Method after completing a two year teacher-training program, from The School For Strings under the instruction of Louse Behrend in 1995. She also earned an Artist’s Diploma from The Manhattan School of Music in 1977, as a scholarship student of Raphael Bronstein and Ariana Bronne.

From TV “spots” for the CBS Evening News, to advertisements for Coca Cola, Amtrak, AMC Classics, Volvo, Nickelodeon, and many others Ms. Kriegler has played on many acclaimed recordings for artists such as Billy Joel (An Innocent Man) and for Kiri Tekanawa (Kiri Sings Gershwin) and is in demand as an experienced, professional commercial recording violinist.

She is experienced in teaching the violin to beginners, as young as age four in the Suzuki Method, and is equally at home teaching beginners of any age utilizing traditional violin techniques and methods which incorporates note reading immediately. Older students who are returning to the violin with some experience or who are in need of a new teacher, are also welcome.

The Suzuki Method which is based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s methodology of learning principally by ear or imitation employs many enjoyable rhythms and games and sometimes includes group classes which help to reinforce what the young violinist has learned at his/her lesson, and each group participant benefits greatly by learning with their peers who can also inspire and encourage one another.

Private lessons are taught at your home and are available to residents of Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester County. Ms. Kriegler has been on the faculty of the following institutions:

	The Westchester Conservatory of Music
	The Crestwood Music Education Center
	Montclair State University, preparatory division
	The Mt. Vernon Public Schools for Traphagen and Columbus Elementary Schools

She has also helped other teachers with the following programs:

	The Manhattan School of Music, preparatory division
	The Mannes School of Music, preparatory division
	Diller-Quaile School
