And: Stay Tuned for our Latest News and Updates about our All New "Community String Ensemble of Lower Westchester" which we (myself and Mrs. Shentov) are going to start this fall of 2011 here in south eastern Westchester County NY! Current Updates: Performances by the Mini String Ensembles have been received to raves at the following hospitals and homes: 1. the Federal VA Hospital, Concerts on 11/20/11 and on 3/18/11. Performance at the Wartuburg Assisted Living Center on 12/22/11, a Christmas Show. Their repertoire includes ensemble performances of "Ode to Joy", "Soldiers Joy" (an Irish folk song), "Lean On Me", "When You Wish Upon a Star", and they are currently learning "Make You Feel My Love" by Bob Dylan/Adele and also "Concerto No. V in D Major by Frederich Seitz where 2 students will perform the Solo Violin part and the others will provide mini orchestral accompaniment! |
Ms. Kriegler received her certification in The Suzuki Violin Method after completing a two year teacher-training program, from The School For Strings. She also earned an Artist's Diploma from The Manhattan School of Music as a scholarship student of the late Raphael Bronstein and Ariana Bronne and is currently working towards a Master of Music degree with focus on Performance as well as Artists Management via Empire College NY.
Natalie is an experienced professional violinist who enjoys teaching the violin to beginners of all ages. She is equally at home teaching the violin via traditional violin techniques and methods which utilize note reading immediately. Adult students who are returning to the violin with some experience or who are in need of a new teacher, are also welcome!
The Suzuki Method, one of the teaching methods employed by Ms. Kriegler, is based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's methodology of learning principally by ear or imitation employs many enjoyable rhythms and games and sometimes includes group classes which help to reinforce what the young violinist has learned at his/her lesson, and each group participant benefits greatly by learning with their peers who can also inspire and encourage one another.
Natalie's professional violin performance credentials range from her performances as a Violin Soloist with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Amphion Chamber Orchestra and as a New York State Sponsored Recitalist to recording work for ID spots for the CBS Evening News. Her violin playing has been heard on advertisements for Coca Cola, Amtrak, AMC Classics, Volvo, Nickelodeon, and many others She has ecorded for internationally famous artists such as Billy Joel ("An Innocent Man)" and Kiri Tekanawa ("Kiri Sings Gershwin") and is in demand as an experienced, polished professional violinist at concerts, including the Annual "Concerts at Advent" held at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers NY, conducted by the Director of Music of the Cathedral of St. Patrick Dr. Jennifer Pascual and at recording sessions in New York.
Private lessons can be taught in your home, or at Natalie's residence. She is available to interested students in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Westchester County. Ms. Kriegler has been on the faculty of the following institutions:
