Eugene
Cellist
Eugene, a graduate of the Leningrad Conservatory, was cellist with the winning string quartet at the 1978 Prague International Competition. In 1979 Eugene emigrated to the United States and settled in New York. Since then he has been a busy chamber musician, recording artist and orchestral player, performing with numerous ensembles and theatrical productons. He was principal cellist with the New York City Symphony and toured extensively with the Soviet Emigre Orchestra. He was cellist for the Broadway shows Kiss of the Spider Woman and Titanic.
