Eugene
Cellist


Eugene is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. He was the cellist in a prize winning string quartet at the Prague International Competition while studying in Russia.  Eugene emigrated to the United States with his family and settled in New York. Since then he has been a busy chamber musician, recording artist and orchestral player, performing with numerous ensembles and theatrical productons. He is also married and has a lovely family of 1 son and 2 daughters. Eugene was the principal cellist with the New York City Symphony. He has toured extensively with the Soviet Emigre Orchestra and performed in the string section/orchestra for Frank Sinatra. His Broadway show credits include being a member of the orchetra/cellist at Kiss of the Spider Woman and Titanic.  He has also substituted at Big, Damn Yankees, Phantom of the Opera, Tarzan, Young Frankenstein, Spamalot, South Pacific, and West Side Story. Eugene performs with the Westbury Music Fair Orchestra and has recorded as a soloist for several PBS shows as well as in string quartets/orchestras for name artists such as Rihanna and Tony Bennett.
